About Kungfu Chicken

Kungfu Chicken is a pan-asian restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1931 Smallman St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, which places it among the local businesses of Pittsburgh that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pittsburgh, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 AM–9 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.

Its Google rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 27 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Super delicious dumplings, perfect amount of spice with the spicy fried chicken sandwich, the french fries are the perfect addition to the meal. The staff are friendly and helpful :) great experience. Highly recommend the dessert as well!! Will definitely be going back 10/10!!!!

I thought the chicken cutlet was great! The breading was good, the chicken was surprisingly moist and tender. It was large enough couldn't really finish it. The fries were decent. My daughter liked them alot. Shes a Picky eater. Not sure where the hostile reviews are coming from. I've lived in Pittsburgh most of my life. If there is one thing that is true about people from here is that they love to go hard on Google. Say all kinds of crazy entitled stuff about a business and it's products and services. I think this is because there's just no accountability. Just make whatever nasty comments they want. With the complaints about the fish corn dog, makes me want to try it. Ill update my review when I do. I'd say take peoples comments with a grain of salt and try it out.

It was ok. I came here and the atmosphere was phenomenal, I expected very good food. I got the chicken fried rice. It was very plain and had little flavor. On top of that it was $13, yes 13. Absolutely not worth the price. For 13 dollars I expect a bigger bowl it was to my standards very small. In my local town you can get a giant container for $10. Honestly I wouldn’t recommend. I wanted to try the dumplings but 25 dollars for one meal seemed steep to me. I’d recommend trying the other places here, because as a whole I really liked the place, but this specific place not so much.

Food was not bad! Chicken was fully cooked, seasoned well, and crispy! Was just happy that they had somewhat healthy options on the menu.

I got the fish cake corn dog with cheese (mozzarella). I really liked the breading. The mozzarella sat on top of the fish cake rather than surrounding it. So I was eating a mozzarella corn dog at first and then a fish cake corn dog. Also, the piece of fish cake in there is soooo small. You can get ketchup and/or mustard. I opted for spicy mayo which is $1 (!) extra.
